As a Graduate Civil Structural Engineer at H&MV Engineering you will be exposed to all aspects of Civil & Structural Engineering as determined by the scope of the Company’s HV Infrastructure projects.

The role:

• Support the management of Civil & Structural design by consultants in tandem with the in-house electrical design team

• Undertake civil and structural design for temporary and permanent works in accordance with relevant codes of practice and using industry standard software

• Assist with the Production of Civil & Structural drawings using 2D and 3D software, and input to BIM requirements on relevant projects.

• Assistance with Tendering

• Ensure compliance with Quality controls and procedures

• Travel to sites across the company portfolio as required for inspection of construction works

• Minimum 3 month residency on site during the 2 year graduate programme. 

Requirements:

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with a range of design software such as AutoDesk Robot, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Previous experience in civil/structural engineering design and construction is preferable .
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices.
  • An interest in renewable energy, data centre, utility sector and electricity distribution and storage systems.
  • Working towards chartership status with the relevant bodies (ICE/IStruct).
  • Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom.
