About the Role:
The Group Senior Manager Rewards Lead is responsible for shaping and delivering a Group-wide Reward strategy that supports H&MV Engineering’s long-term business objectives. This role ensures reward programmes are competitive, scalable, compliant, and aligned to evolving global workforce needs across EMEA, India & US. Acting as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and the wider People team, the role balances strong governance with practical delivery ensuring pay, incentives and benefits frameworks support attraction, retention, engagement and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Reward Architecture
Lead the formulation, evolution, and governance of Group-wide Reward strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals, growth plans, and organisational priorities
Develop and maintain a multi-year Reward roadmap, balancing near-term delivery with long-term strategic outcomes
Contribute to global workforce planning and budgeting, integrating Reward considerations into broader financial forecasting and headcount planning
Design and maintain job architecture, career frameworks, and salary structures that support internal equity, transparency, and scalability
2. Advisory, Governance & Leadership Support
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and the People team, ensuring Reward frameworks effectively support talent acquisition, retention, and engagement
Oversee the design and execution of annual salary review and bonus cycles, including governance, modelling, guidelines, and decision support
Draft and present business cases, insights, and recommendations to the Leadership Board to inform Reward-related decisions
Ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, including adherence to pay transparency, reporting obligations, and local employment regulations
Provide expert guidance to HR and business stakeholders on reward policy interpretation, pay decisions and program application
3. Market Benchmarking
Lead market benchmarking initiatives to inform Reward strategy, planning, and ongoing market competitiveness
Analyse and apply market intelligence to shape salary ranges, pay bands, incentive design, job architecture and benefits positioning
Consult on hiring offers, promotions, and pay adjustments, providing data-driven insights to ensure fair and competitive outcomes
Prepare high-quality reward reporting and analytics for senior leadership, supporting evidence-based decision-making
4. Benefits Oversight
Support local HR teams in communicating and administering benefits programs, ensuring consistency and local compliance
Manage and consult on benefits-related queries, identifying opportunities to improve processes, governance, and employee experience
Partner closely with Finance, HR and regional leaders to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting and execution of Reward initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
8+ years’ experience in Compensation / Total Rewards, ideally within a complex, multi-country environment
Strong expertise in job architecture, pay range design, benchmarking, incentive programs and salary review cycles
Proven experience acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating data into clear, practical recommendations
Strong knowledge of Reward practices across EMEA, US and India
Solid understanding of employment legislation, pay transparency, and regulatory requirements related to Reward
Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with the ability to manage large datasets and build clear, decision-ready insights
