About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Primary Plant General Operative specializing in Transformer Installation for high-voltage (HV) environments, including substations, solar/wind farms, and battery storage projects. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the installation and maintenance of transformers, as well as associated HV components, cables, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transformer Installation: Efficiently install, assemble, and commission transformers in various high-voltage settings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• HV Cable Installation: Lead the installation of high-voltage cables, both AC and DC, including routing, termination, and connection to relevant equipment within substations and renewable energy projects.
• Multicore Cable Handling: Handle and install multicore cables according to project requirements, ensuring proper insulation, routing, and connection to support the electrical infrastructure.
• Earthing Systems: Implement earthing systems for substation equipment to guarantee safety and proper functioning, adhering to established safety protocols and regulations.
• Work closely with project teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate installation activities, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Conduct testing and commissioning activities to verify the functionality and reliability of installed electrical components, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, emphasizing the importance of a safety-first culture in all aspects of the work, particularly in HV environments.
