About the IRC:

Huawei Ireland Research Centre's (IRC) mission is to position Huawei as a recognised technology leader and global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider. We are building an industry-recognised multi-disciplinary Research Centre of experts focusing on medium-term to long-term issues to achieve this. The IRC will work closely with an open, innovative ecosystem with Huawei customers to address real-world issues. The IRC will also engage with key European universities to build a basic research capability to support Huawei technical projects.

About The Role:

The Intelligent Operation & Management lab is applying a combination of advanced software techniques/architectures and deep domain expertise to transform the network to become agile, programmable, on-demand and autonomous. We are expanding our highly talented team to unlock the potential of the network and make a major break-through in the network revolution.

As team assistant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day team operation and coordinating team meetings. Provide administration support to employees regarding general enquiries, promote lab’s contributions, collaborate with other team assistants in Ireland and China, organize team building and company social activities.

You will also have the opportunity to organize the academic and industry event, invite VIP attendees and promote the event.

Fluent English and Mandarin are mandatory for this role. Attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to communicate effectively with others is expected from the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist your manager and other experts with routine administrative tasks.

  • Conducts team meetings/teleconferences, provides agendas meeting minutes with follow-up actions identified.

  • Facilitate new employee on-boarding, ex-pat acclimatization and consultants checking in and checking out.

  • Communications on behalf of the leader when agreed.

  • Screening and prioritizing communications, both external and internal.

  • Scheduling and arranging meetings and appointments, output minutes.

  • Preparing agendas, reports, presentations, and other essential materials.

  • Calendar and Expense management, Travel planning.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Mandarin.

  • A professional curiosity about the business.

  • Good skills in Microsoft Office.

  • Strong planning & organizational skills with speaking, presentation, and writing.

  • Proactive and willing to remove blockers and solve problems.

  • Self-organized, strong attention to detail, multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and an outstanding team player.

Preferred Experience:

  • Event organization and promotion ability.

  • Flexibility with working schedule during times of urgency.

  • Previous team assistant experience preferable.

  • Experience supporting project coordination or project management is a plus.
