Overview
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering across policy administration, claims management, underwriting, customer servicing, and digital channels.
- Facilitate workshops with business, operational, and technology stakeholders to capture business, functional, and non‑functional requirements.
- Map and analyse end‑to‑end insurance processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or digitisation.
- Produce high‑quality documentation including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, data models, and acceptance criteria.
- Work with clients to define business priorities, scope projects, and shape solution options that align with business and regulatory needs.
- Collaborate with architecture, development, QA, and PMO teams to ensure clarity of requirements and alignment across the delivery lifecycle.
- Support testing phases through test scenario definition, traceability matrices, defect analysis, and readiness assessments.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts across policy, claims, data, and customer operations.
- Contribute to business readiness activities including training materials, operating model updates, SOPs, and customer journey redesign.
- Mentor junior analysts and support practice development initiatives as a senior member of the BA team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, Risk, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Professional qualification in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA, PMI‑BA) is desirable.
- Insurance‑specific certifications (e.g., APA, CIP, ACII, LOMA) are a strong advantage.

Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in the Insurance domain (Life, GI, Health, Specialty, or Reinsurance).
- Proven experience delivering regulatory, digital transformation, policy/claims system upgrades, data‑driven initiatives, or customer experience improvements.
- Hands‑on experience with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, Salesforce, bespoke PAS/Claims systems) is beneficial.
- Background working in consultancy or client‑facing roles is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience influencing stakeholders and shaping solution direction as a senior BA.
