Senior Account Executive – Imaging & Cardiac Safety
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our team, focused on driving growth across Imaging and Cardiac Safety solutions. This role is critical in expanding our presence within pharma and biotech, particularly across EU and APAC regions. The ideal candidate should bring a proven ability to originate and convert new business opportunities.
What you will be doing
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with pharma and biotech clients, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Leverage an existing network of contacts within Imaging and/or Cardiac Safety across EU and/or APAC to generate and advance new opportunities.
- Proactively identify, originate, and close new business within both large pharma and emerging biotech accounts.
- Navigate complex biotech organizations, using industry insight and relationships to create and shape opportunities.
- Partner with internal medical, scientific, and operational teams, as well as external KOLs, to develop tailored solutions and deliver impactful client presentations.
- Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
- Drive account growth by identifying expansion opportunities and aligning ICON capabilities with client needs.
- Monitor account performance and client satisfaction, ensuring long-term partnership success.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience in business development, account management, or sales within imaging, cardiac safety, CRO, or related life sciences services.
- Established network of contacts within pharma/biotech, particularly in Imaging and/or Cardiac Safety, across EU and/or APAC.
- Demonstrated ability to penetrate and navigate biotech organizations to generate new opportunities.
- Strong understanding of clinical trials, imaging endpoints, and/or cardiac safety services.
- Proven track record of originating deals and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and deliver compelling, solution-oriented discussions.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
