The Role:

Our Media Solutions team is at the forefront of the media industry, dedicated to crafting impactful media solutions that resonate with audiences and deliver unparalleled value to our clients.


We are looking to appoint an experienced salesperson to work in a fast paced, evolving and dynamic media environment within our Media Solutions Department. You will need to demonstrate a strong track record in sales and business.  The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the development of strategic client relationships, innovative commercial solutions and the delivery of market-leading advertising opportunities across the Irish Examiner and The Irish Times Group portfolio. The role is suitable to an analytical thinker who is commercially driven. 


The role is a hybrid role based in Cork and a full driving licence is required .  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow revenue across an assigned portfolio of direct clients, pr agencies and B2B market sectors, achieving and exceeding agreed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement bespoke media campaigns in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring optimal pricing and yield management.
  • Propel digital growth in relevant categories, introducing new products and services.
  • Build, maintain and grow relationships with key clients, identifying forthcoming opportunities and crafting effective packages.
  • Lead in establishing relationships with a new client base, managing pitches and identifying opportunities.
  • Represent the Group at meetings and attend events relevant to your area.  
  • Analyse market trends, industry developments and competitor activity to identify opportunities, inform commercial strategy and strengthen market position.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance, using insights and date to inform future recommendations and maximise client value.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting process, ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively through the sales cycle and reported consistently. 
  • Work closely with commercial teams across the business to drive digital revenue growth through the promotion and sale of existing and new products, services and commercial initiatives. 


Requirements & Experience: 

  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing and CRM systems a distinct advantage
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and show leadership skills within the team, driving key initiatives
  • Strong administrative, reporting and organisational skill set required.
  • Excellent Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills - ability to communicate at all levels.
