Your impact

Join our Bridges team in Dublin as a CAD Technician and play a pivotal role in delivering iconic infrastructure projects that connect communities across Ireland and beyond. 

In this role, you will:

  • Bring designs to life: Produce and update precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other tools, ensuring every detail meets project specifications.
  • Champion quality and standards: Apply rigorous CAD standards for layering, naming conventions, and file management, guaranteeing consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate and innovate: Work closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to interpret design requirements and resolve technical challenges.
  • Own the details: Review drawings for accuracy and completeness, maintaining registers and revision control to keep projects on track.
  • Lead by example: Mentor junior technicians, share best practices, and embrace continuous improvement by adopting new tools and techniques.


Your expertise will help shape safe, efficient, and sustainable structures that make a lasting impact.


Here's what you'll need
  • Education: Level 6 qualification accredited by Engineers Ireland or equivalent (ICE/IStructE).
  • Experience: CAD experience on bridges or structural engineering projects.
  • Professional Development: A passion for growth and an interest in achieving Technician Membership with Engineers Ireland, ICE, or IStructE.
  • Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD & Familiarity with Civil 3D, Revit, or MicroStation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of bridge design principles, structural detailing, and construction methods.
  • Experience in steelwork or reinforcement detailing for bridge structures.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality drawings under deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written skills for effective collaboration.
