The ideal candidate brings strong technical engineering knowledge, hands on site experience, and confidence working within multidisciplinary, BIM driven environments.
Role Overview:
As a Civil/Structural Designer, you will support the full lifecycle of semiconductor facility delivery from design coordination and model development through to structural installation oversight, field engineering support, commissioning readiness and handover. You will work closely with construction teams, trade contractors, designers and client representatives to ensure civil and structural works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will be proficient in BIM coordination, structural engineering and site engineering within highly regulated cleanroom and advanced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate civil and structural engineering activities for assigned semiconductor project areas.
- Develop, review and maintain BIM models, ensuring accuracy, clash resolution and alignment with design and construction requirements.
- Support site installation of structural steel, concrete works, foundations, supports and associated civil infrastructure.
- Conduct field inspections, verify installation quality and ensure compliance with specifications, codes and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, process, architectural and construction management.
- Ensure adherence to high tech manufacturing, cleanroom and contamination control requirements where civil/structural interfaces apply.
- Review technical submittals, method statements and contractor proposals.
- Support commissioning and start up activities, including structural readiness, verification and documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, model updates and as built information.
- Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement across all site activities.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience delivering civil/structural works on large industrial or advanced manufacturing projects.
- Proven capability in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks or equivalent.
- Experience working site based on major construction programmes.
- Knowledge of semiconductor facility requirements, high tech manufacturing environments or cleanroom related structural interfaces (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and BIM models.
- Familiarity with construction quality standards, temporary works, and commissioning readiness
