Deputy Land, Property & Planning Lead
Description
At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
This is a programme‑level leadership opportunity on one of Ireland’s most high‑profile infrastructure projects — the delivery of Core Bus Corridors across Dublin city.
If you thrive on complexity, enjoy bringing alignment across disciplines, and are ready to step into a senior, client‑facing leadership role, this is your chance to shape a project that will define how Dublin moves for decades.
Your Impact
You’ll sit at the centre of the BusConnects programme, connecting design, planning, land, environmental and sustainability delivery and ensuring the right decisions happen at the right time.
In this role, you will:
- Influence outcomes on a flagship national infrastructure programme
- Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams operating at scale
- Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and the National Transport Authority
- Shape a high‑performance culture while guiding teams through complexity and change
- Leave a tangible legacy across Dublin’s transport network
This is leadership with visibility — your decisions will matter, and they’ll be seen.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Land, Property & Planning Lead (FA5), you will play a critical role in managing and coordinating:
- Land & Property
- Planning & Development
- Environmental
- Sustainability
- A key Planning Resubmission
You will ensure seamless coordination between delivery, design and construction workstreams. You don’t need to be a career land or planning specialist. If you’re a strong project or design coordinator, confident with technical detail, people leadership and stakeholder management, you’ll grow into the land and property elements on the job.
Think:
- Multi‑disciplinary orchestration rather than narrow ownership
- Programme‑level coordination rather than single‑project delivery
- Leadership, influence and problem‑solving at scale
This role is ideal for someone ready to step up — into broader responsibility, deeper impact and visible leadership on a nationally significant programme.
- 10+ years’ experience in project or programme coordination within complex environments
- Strong grounding in design management and multi‑disciplinary coordination
- Understanding of environmental and sustainability requirements
- Experience with CPO, land & property acquisition, or adjacent stakeholder‑heavy processes
- Confidence managing multiple technical teams in a construction or infrastructure setting
- Proven ability to lead people, plan resources and drive continuous improvement
- Comfortable operating client‑facing, influencing outcomes and managing expectations
- Calm, resilient and proactive when dealing with risk, ambiguity and challenge
Why This Role?
✔ High‑profile national programme
✔ Programme‑level leadership exposure
✔ Real influence with senior stakeholders
✔ Breadth across design, planning, land and delivery
✔ A stretch role with genuine progression
