Shape the Future of Water – Join Us as a Design Manager - Cork

The water sector in Ireland is undergoing a major transformation. Unprecedented investment and technological advancement is creating a once-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine water and wastewater infrastructure.

We’re proud to be at the forefront of this transformation, partnering with large companies across Ireland to deliver water and wastewater services and better manage water related risks. From strategic planning and flood management at various stages of the project lifecycle - from concept through to commissioning, we bring together exceptional talent and expertise to deliver success.

We’ve secured multiple long-term frameworks and programmes with leading clients across Ireland, including Uisce Éireann (Irish Water), Northern Ireland Water, and the Northern Ireland Department for Infrastructure (DfI). These major initiatives span water, wastewater, flood management, and environmental protection—delivering critical infrastructure that makes a real difference to communities.

We’re driving some of the most ambitious and transformative projects in the Irish water sector, and we’re looking for talented Design Managers to help bring them to life. In this high-impact leadership role, you’ll oversee the delivery of large, complex water and wastewater projects using innovative delivery models. This is your opportunity to shape major infrastructure programmes and create meaningful change across the island of Ireland.

You’ll join and strengthen our established Water team, based across Cork, contributing to high-profile national frameworks and flagship projects.

This is more than a job—it’s a chance to lead transformative projects, mentor talented teams, and influence the future of water infrastructure. You’ll be part of a company that values innovation, inclusion, and sustainability, delivering outcomes that truly matter.

Here's what you'll need
You’re an experienced design professional with a passion for delivering innovative solutions in the water sector. You thrive in dynamic environments, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects that make a real difference to communities. With strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset, you excel at managing design processes from concept through to commissioning. You’re committed to sustainability, inclusion, and driving excellence—bringing fresh ideas and a proactive approach to every challenge. Your ability to influence stakeholders and mentor teams ensures successful outcomes on transformative infrastructure programmes.

  • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Chartered status is often desirable).
  • Knowledge of Irish water sector standards and regulations.
  • proven experience in design management for large-scale infrastructure projects (preferably water/wastewater).
  • Strong technical background in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage complex project delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with innovative delivery models and digital design tools.
