The Advanced Manufacturing team in Ireland is seeking an Electrical Design Technician with strong BIM capability to support the delivery of large scale Advanced Manufacturing facility projects. This is a site based role, working directly on fast paced, high tech construction programmes for global technology clients. You will play a key role in supporting electrical design coordination, maintaining accurate BIM models, and ensuring that digital information reflects both design intent and real time site conditions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of electrical building services, hands on construction experience, and confidence working within multidisciplinary, BIM driven environments.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Design Technician, you will support the full lifecycle of semiconductor facility delivery—from BIM model development and design coordination through to installation support, field verification and handover. You will work closely with construction teams, trade contractors, designers and client representatives to ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will be proficient in BIM coordination, electrical building services and site-based technical support within highly regulated cleanroom and advanced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support electrical design coordination for assigned semiconductor project areas.
- Develop, update and maintain BIM models, ensuring accuracy, clash resolution and alignment with design and construction requirements.
- Assist with site installation support, helping resolve technical queries and ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Conduct field checks and model verification, ensuring as built conditions are accurately captured.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, architectural and construction management.
- Ensure adherence to cleanroom, contamination control and semiconductor facility standards.
- Review technical documentation, including drawings, submittals and method statements.
- Support commissioning readiness, including documentation updates and verification activities.
- Maintain accurate project records, BIM updates and as built information.
- Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement across all site activities.
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Electrical Design, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience supporting electrical design or installation on large industrial or advanced manufacturing projects.
- Proven capability in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks or equivalent.
- Experience working site based on major construction programmes.
- Knowledge of cleanroom electrical systems, high tech manufacturing environments or semiconductor facility requirements (advantageous).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and BIM models.
- Familiarity with construction quality standards and commissioning processes.
