We are seeking a Lead/Senior Civil Engineer to support life science and pharmaceutical projects in Ireland. The successful candidate will oversee the design, development, and execution of civil engineering solutions for high-value, cutting-edge facilities. This position involves leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the seamless delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design team for civil works.
- Manage design processes, including water storage facilities, drainage systems, road layouts, and underground utilities.
- Supervise and coordinate project deliverables to achieve deadlines and milestones.
- Ensure compliance with British Standards, Eurocodes, and other relevant regulations.
- Review geotechnical reports, soil compaction, and consolidation studies.
- Prepare contract documents, technical reviews, and approvals during construction phases.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design calculations and project execution.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including environmental, mechanical, and structural engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably within the life sciences or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong understanding of drainage design, road layouts, and water storage systems.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with Engineers Ireland (MIEI or CEng preferred).
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with industrial or biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities preferred.
- Knowledge of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
- Previous involvement in high-value projects with accelerated timelines.
