Your impact

Jacobs is committed to playing a key role in the Global Energy Transition. Our European and Global teams are growing, and we’re seeking an Energy & Power Portfolio Manager to oversee work across Ireland and contribute to our wider business activities.

Our Energy & Power team supports Transmission & Distribution and Generation clients, along with delivering cross‑market solutions for non‑energy sectors. Our work includes transmission system assets, High Voltage Direct Current interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind and solar farms, and advanced facilities for technology and process‑driven industries.

In this role, you will oversee our frameworks and projects in Ireland and contribute to the ongoing development of the Energy & Power team and client portfolio. This position offers strong visibility at senior levels within Jacobs and provides an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a rapidly expanding sector.

We value work–life balance and flexibility. Our Irish Energy & Power team works across Dublin, Cork and Belfast, and we welcome discussions on location, hybrid working, part‑time arrangements, and flexible hours.

  • Take ownership of relationships with Irish Energy & Power clients, including addressing key issues and coordinating responses to client feedback.
  • Develop and implement growth plans, client engagement strategies, and priority sales activities for Energy & Power clients in Ireland.
  • Ensure appropriate project management controls are in place to support consistent delivery to time, cost and quality expectations.
  • Represent Jacobs within industry settings, supplier reviews and client forums.
  • Deliver operational plans aligned with targets for gross margin, billable hours and revenue. Ensure all relevant policies, procedures and quality assurance requirements are met.
  • Demonstrate visible commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing by applying Jacobs and client best practice.
  • Work with Jacobs’ technical teams to pursue opportunities, highlight innovations and broaden our capabilities — including drawing on expertise from across the global organisation.
  • Oversee Project Managers to support effective project delivery, including assisting with invoicing and payment activities where required.
  • Support recruitment, development and retention of talented individuals to meet client and business needs.

Here's what you'll need
  • Strong client‑facing experience in the energy sector.
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach to working with teams.
  • Experience managing projects and supporting teams within a matrix environment.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding.
