We are searching for the best talent to join our team as a Senior Director, EMEA Supply Chain Leader for J&J Vision based in Limerick, Ireland.
Purpose:
You will be responsible for developing the supply chain capabilities in the EMEA region to enable outstanding performance in customer service and cash flow optimization. This will be achieved through the deployment of a clear regional supply chain vision and strategy. This individual is the primary supply chain liaison with the regional commercial leadership to ensure achievement of fully aligned business goals and objectives. With expertise in end-to-end supply chain process improvement, this individual will optimize supply chain performance, consistently meet (or exceed) customer expectations, and manage the regional IBP process, and its maturity roadmap (people, process, technology).
Responsibilities:
Build and deploy best in class, regional supply chain processes:
- Partner and drive IBP processes to next level step maturity through executive engagement and alignment with business partners.
- Enable PMR (Portfolio Management Review) and LCM (Life Cycle Management) processes to ensure an optimal affiliate and regional product portfolio, with insights to drive GP improvement.
- Ensure strong regional forecasting, integrated to the LRFP’s. Driving optimal product mix while minimizing SLOB and maximizing cash flow optimization.
- Drive strong focus on agility with appropriate metrics to drive flexibility and responsiveness to changing market conditions, particularly on strategic products.
- Drive project / program governance office and implementation of relevant frameworks for complex regional initiatives.
- Ensure optimal cash management of inventory ($ and DOS).
- Lead and develop the EMEA regional supply chain planning team.
Develop, deploy, and embed a holistic regional supply chain operating model that enables outstanding customer centric, performance driven regional supply chain capabilities.
- Ensure rapid response to events and issues, in alignment with global teams.
- Drive a regional supply chain single point of contact for regional president / regional board.
- Ensure the highest level of end-to-end teamwork and collaboration with the customer at the center.
- Drive regional supply chain talent council, developing regional supply chain leaders of the future.
Develop, deploy, and embed a vision and strategy for the EMEA regional supply chain.
- Ensure capabilities that position the supply chain to deliver the right level of service in a cost competitive manner (benchmark cost, inventory, and customer experience).
- Strategize need to ensure growth priorities are anticipated and planned.
- The vision and strategy must deliver customer centricity with speed and agility. Aligned at the regional board level and in line with overarching global vision and strategy.
Advance and leverage the latest technology:
- Partner with commercial to drive innovation in business models and customer connectivity.
- Drive regional deployment of ERP / OMP / digital supply chain roadmap and solutions.
- Ensure strong external focus and benchmarking to bring new perspectives and insights, working with Vision SI&D to ensure leverage.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the regional supply chain.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Advanced understanding of end-to-end supply chain, preferably in Medical Device Industry with advanced financial understanding.
- Identifying new partnership opportunities, determining optimal relationship conditions/model (licensing, co-promotion, acquisition), and executing these relationships.
- Articulating a vision, engaging, and mobilizing employees around that vision, and delivering superior value.
- Ability to drive and apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects.
- Ability to drive innovation, prioritize and collaborate in a heavily matrixed environment.
- Strong business acumen. Understanding the business; portfolio, markets, customers, challenges, and demands.
- Proven talent development champion.
- Experience in medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical companies is required.
- APICS or IBF certification preferred.
- A professional certification in PMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean and/or Six Sigma and demonstrated relevant experience in large scale projects/programs will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated collaboration with Regulatory and Quality to meet customer expectations.
