Lead Commissioning Engineer - Silent Aire
What you will do
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be working with project teams on an assigned customer base. You will be accountable for:
- Support with the development of training of the Field based teams.
- Conduct and support with OJT training for the Electrical and commissioning team.
- Commissioning.
- Compliance to client specifications.
- Managing Client relations.
- Documentation and reporting.
- Site support for Break fixes & Project work.
You will also share responsibility in document management, processes and SOP’s, supplier relations, continuous improvement, coaching/mentoring/motivating team members, and checks and balances to minimize mistakes. Other areas of input will include Technical, Design and Strategy Implementation.
International travel is a requirement as part of this role.
How you will do it
- Coordinate and provide input at all stages of project completion; Installation to Commissioning and Handover to Client alongside the Client’s project(s) team
- Engagement with Engineering design and QA/QC Teams to comprehend and understand the operational requirements and to feedback any issues or potential improvements.
- Develop protocols for Commissioning and Qualification of process and equipment as required.
- Preparation and execution of Commissioning and SAT protocols.
- Develop system impact assessments, protocols and reports that support the qualification and validation of systems.
- Reviewing and approving project documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to GMP.
- Ensuring safe operation of the system prior to and during start-up functional testing and Qualification phase.
- Installation Verification execution.
- System Start-up activities.
- Functional Testing of systems.
- Organize and review daily tasks/verifications and track the progress of the activities assigned.
- Regular communication and coordination with clients site team including client operations group to ensure client needs are met across H&S, quality, site commissioning, and handover – inclusive of client site representatives e.g., general and mechanical contractors, commissioning agents, controls contractor, etc.
What we look for
- Ability to travel internationally as required
- Controls or BMS experience would be advantageous
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in engineering and engineering-related project management activities, preferably in a manufacturing or construction application
- Trade or related discipline - Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Power fluid systems, Automation, Mechanical fitter
- Experience in HVAC delivery within Data Centre industry is desirable
- Advanced skills level across Microsoft suite of applications
- Very well organized with good attention to detail
- Proactive – driven to achieve results
- Adaptable and Solution-oriented
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work with multiple deadlines
- Firm but fair
