Job Description

Job Summary

This role functionally reports to the Manager of the Product Innovation Controls team and partners with Payments Product Management to deliver business strategy. The individual will actively engage in Payments-wide complex projects (in-country, regional, and global), support individual deal challenges, and contribute to new product development. The role also partners with groups supporting product delivery to help establish an optimal operating environment to design and implement innovative solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture, leveraging proven evaluation processes and sound change management protocols.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical initiatives that support business execution.
  • Facilitate business development opportunities, including new markets, new product rollouts, new deals, issue resolution, and cross-functional productivity.
  • Build and maintain close, influencing relationships with other lines of business, Controllers, infrastructure/support group leaders, and JPMorganChase business partners.
  • Support Product Heads and their teams on business issues and new business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the business to understand and respond to material changes through governance oversight and guidance.
  • Use metrics to identify key themes and insights, including sourcing relevant datasets, determining critical components, and building appropriate models/outputs.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through trend analytics and stakeholder collaboration across the end-to-end change management lifecycle.
  • Participate in governance forums, as needed.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Proven program and change management execution experience; Payments business knowledge preferred.
  • Governance, Controls, and/or Risk Management experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, motivate teams, and gain consensus without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to source datasets, identify critical drivers, and develop models and outputs to generate insights.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations to convey key messages effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including issue and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize fragmented information into clear, detailed statements.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate broad-ranging information and distill it into key points.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, providing clear and succinct updates to senior and broad stakeholder groups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Payments product, controls, or governance experience within a large, matrixed financial services organization.
  • Experience supporting new product development, product rollout, and/or deal support in a regulated environment.
