Description
8–12 Month Contract | IT | Dunboyne, Co. Meath, A86 W820
Role purpose: Provide experienced, hands-on Business Central functional support from UAT preparation through go-live, hypercare and transition into an agreed business-as-usual support model.
About Kilsaran
Kilsaran believes that our people are our greatest strength and that our success is driven by the dedication and enthusiasm of our teams. As part of our ongoing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation, we are seeking an experienced functional support consultant to help business users adopt the new platform and agreed processes.
The role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional support to the project team and key users as the organisation prepares for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live and transition to business-as-usual support.
The ideal candidate is a practical Business Central expert who is equally comfortable sitting beside a user to help them complete a test, reviewing a UAT script in Azure DevOps, troubleshooting an issue, and working with the project team to set up the user roles and permissions and relevant Purchase Order approval workflow using the tools developed by implementation partner. They should be patient, structured and control-conscious, with the confidence to challenge unclear processes or incomplete test coverage while keeping users engaged and supported
The successful candidate will be an experienced Business Central practitioner who can confidently navigate and use the system, explain standard functionality in practical business language, and coach users as they complete end-to-end process testing.
This is not primarily a technical development or solution architecture role. The role requires strong practical knowledge of Business Central, combined with proven experience of UAT preparation and execution, user support, security and role setup, workflow configuration, issue triage, training and operational handover.
This is an 8–12 month contract spanning mobilisation and knowledge transfer, UAT preparation and execution, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and business-as-usual handover. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, process leads, super users, the ERP project team, IT and the implementation partner.
