The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

The role:

Reporting to the IT Security Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in administering and enhancing security technologies and services, ensuring robust protection across all business applications and IT services. They will help maintain a strong security posture by ensuring the right controls, tools, and processes are always in place.

        Key responsibilities will include (Not limited too):

• Oversee and triage security alerts across multi‑site jurisdictions, ensuring threats are identified and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
• Handle large volumes of system, application, and security logs, ensuring accurate analysis, correlation, and escalation where required.
• Work with complex datasets to identify anomalies, trends, and indicators of compromise, supporting proactive threat detection.
• Liaise with external operational security centres to coordinate investigations, share intelligence, and ensure timely incident resolution.
• Support the investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents, documenting actions and outcomes.
• Act as a key influencer in promoting strong security culture and best practices across the organisation.
• Recommend enhancements to monitoring, detection, and response processes to strengthen overall security posture.

        Essential criteria

• IT Qualification — A third‑level IT‑related qualification or equivalent hands‑on, relevant experience.
• Industry Experience — Experience of working within an IT environment, demonstrating increasing responsibility.
• Microsoft Expertise — Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365 and knowledge of Microsoft Security suite.
• Infrastructure Knowledge — An understanding of IT infrastructure and modern security technologies.
