Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.
With the most modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross-border basis, the Group supplies to a broad customer base including some of the world’s foremost ‘blue chip’ companies across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer food channels on a domestic Ireland, UK, European and global basis. Internationally we export some 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide.
The Group’s Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.

The Role
The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment solutions across assigned business areas. Acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, the role partners closely with HR and business leaders to attract, assess and appoint high-quality talent aligned to organisational strategy, values and future capability needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnering
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce plans, role requirements and critical capabilities.
- Provide expert advice on sourcing strategies, talent market insights, assessment approaches and inclusive hiring practices.
End-to-End Recruitment Delivery
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from role briefing and approval through to offer and onboarding.
- Develop compelling job adverts aligned to employer brand and role requirements.
- Proactively source candidates using multiple channels including direct search, referrals, talent pools and social media.
- Screen, interview and assess candidates using structured and fair assessment methods.
- Manage offers, pre-employment checks and handover to onboarding.
Stakeholder & Candidate Experience
- Deliver a high-quality, consistent experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Build strong, credible relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Act as an ambassador for the employer brand at all stages of the recruitment process.
Process, Data & Continuous Improvement
- Use ATS and recruitment data to track progress, report on outcomes and identify opportunities to improve speed, quality and experience.
- Ensure recruitment activity aligns with internal policies, employment legislation and data protection requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across talent acquisition processes and tools.
Employer Branding & Projects
- Support employer branding activities, careers events, graduate and early careers programmes where required.
- Participate in talent acquisition projects aligned to organisational priorities (e.g. process redesign, insourcing, early careers, DE&I initiatives).
The Person
- A relevant third-level qualification in Business, HR, Management, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in recruiting / talent acquisition.
- Experience recruiting across a variety of role types (e.g. professional, technical, operational or leadership).
- Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting and hiring best practices.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise effectively, and manage competing deadlines.
- Proven experience in using IT software to design and create job ads, job descriptions and other branding templates for promoting roles.
Desirable
- Dairy or Food Manufacturing experience
- Experience in a multi-site or matrix organisation is an advantage
Travel
- Full clean drivers required
- Travel between sites as required.
