Job Description

The Associate/Snr Associate - People Development (GBS) will support in managing, implementing, and maintaining a cross functional learning strategy that drives and enhances organizational capabilities across the assigned organizations within GBS and in line with emerging business need.

The role will operate as part of the People Development/ Org Effectiveness team and has responsibility for the full HRD cycle (design/development/implementation and evaluation) where assigned and/or for specific functions.  This role sits within the GBS function.

Learning Strategy (Design, develop, deliver, evaluate)

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions and other related initiatives.
  • Promote use of existing resources and appropriate learning technologies, to support people development activities
  • Maintain linkages with professional L&D associations and other internal Lilly learning and development networks. Stay abreast of the breadth of learning opportunities and programs internally and externally, including emerging trends in AI and digital learning to drive and influence uptake within assigned functions.

Leadership and People Development

  • Implement the People Development aspects of People Strategy through the 70:20:10 model.
  • Partner across the team to build, deliver, and evaluate programs to drive a high-performance culture including capabilities required to lead in increasingly digital and AI enabled environments.
  • Develop, deliver, and lead bespoke initiatives for employees in line with emerging business and future capability needs
  • Develop and lead efforts focused on career development of employees including Explore Your Career, Lilly U, LinkedIn Learning, and other resources.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Work in partnership with People Development leadership to scope and prioritize the portfolio of programs and interventions and determine the integration points across (function, site, or geography) related to the business area’s learning and performance improvement needs.
  • Collaborate and build partnerships across functions and regions (both within GBS and across Lilly) focused on people development and employee experiences.

Basic Qualifications

Education:

  • Professional Qualification in Organizational Psychology/Training/Learning and Development/Human Resource development essential (PSI, CIPD, IITD or equivalent)
  • Training delivery and evaluation (previously Train the trainer QQI Level 6) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 2 years min experience in a People Development/ Learning & Development role /function.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships both internal to Lilly and with external collaborators/suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate broadly and at a high level, while maintaining appropriate attention to detail.

Additional Skills/ Preferences

  • Psychometric qualification is beneficial.
  • A passion and drive for people development, learning, development, and positive employee experiences.
  • Experience or knowledge of multinational shared service centre or global organization
  • A strong team player, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in line with emerging business needs.
  • A positive attitude with a proven capacity to work successfully cross functionally, with teams and individuals with varied needs. Comfortable in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Experience of working on multiple projects and delivering to targets.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and creativity.
