#WeAreLWETB

Welcome from the Chief Executive

Welcome to Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB).

At LWETB, we are committed to delivering dynamic, inclusive, and innovative education and training services to the communities of Longford and Westmeath. As Chief Executive, I am proud to lead an organisation that places student and learners at the centre of everything we do. We champion diversity, act with integrity, and drive innovation—while ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.

Across our post-primary and primary schools and colleges, our college of further education and training, youth services, and music education programmes, more than 1,000 dedicated staff support thousands of students and learners each year. Our focus is on creating engaging, high-quality learning experiences that empower every individual to achieve their full potential.

We work in partnership with local, national, and international stakeholders to deliver a broad range of programmes and services. By prioritising learner wellbeing, sustainability, and continuous improvement, we strive to meet the evolving needs of our region and foster lifelong learning for all.

Whether you are a student, learner, parent, educator, employer, or community member, I invite you to explore our website and discover the opportunities available through LWETB.

Warm regards,

Siobhán Lynch
