Chief Medical Scientist - Clinical Chemistry and Diagnostic Endocrinology Dept

The post holder will: 

• Lead the professional organization and management of a comprehensive Clinical Chemistry/Endocrinology Laboratory service, to reflect the hospitals commitment to patient focused care and high quality
• Have the operational management responsibility of the Clinical Chemistry/Endocrinology laboratory within the division of Pathology Medicine. 
• Recruit, train and lead a team of skilled staff, creating and promoting healthy working relationships. 
• Identify and implement operational processes to the standard of best practice in order to optimize use of resources
• Participate with the Laboratory Manager, Consultant Head of Department and other relevant Departments in establishing costing methods for the Clinical Chemistry/Endocrinology Laboratory service to other Hospital Departments / Clinical Units 
• Put in place a quality management programme, which is patient centered and which measures and audits performance and client satisfaction.
