We have an exciting opportunity for an API Production Lead (AD Operations) for our site in Ballydine, Co. Tipperary, to direct day-to-day operations of the API Factory01 facility and its associated Finishing Facility. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, efficient production that meets quality, budgetary and scheduling targets. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for key quality subsystems. This is a fantastic and high-profile opportunity to join a team at a significant moment for the site.
Role Profile
- As a member of the API Integrated Process Team (IPT) Leadership Team, responsible for strategy development and implementation.
- Lead daily API and Finishing Facility operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Prepare and manage the API operating budget (utilities, waste disposal, maintenance, supplies); monitor performance vs. targets and act to meet the profit plan.
- Ensure compliance with site, divisional and corporate safety standards; investigate and remediate safety incidents. Participate in the Emergency Control Centre during emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with the site IPPC license; investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Act as sub-system owner for applicable sections of the quality manual (e.g., Manufacturing Practices).
- Serve as primary API contact for trade union matters and participate on the plant negotiating committee.
- Drive training and ongoing development for the production team.
Your profile
- Honours Degree in Engineering, Science or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years’ line management experience in a production environment, including people management.
- Strong knowledge of process operations, plant equipment, safety and environmental procedures, and quality systems.
- Demonstrated capability in financial management and strategic execution.
- Effective leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage complex situations and large information flows.
