Role
This is a senior managerial position within the Global Treasury & Budgeting organisation that has arisen as a result of a strategic team restructure to support the creation of a global functional utility. It will provide increased control and oversight to the team and the successful individual will be based in Limerick, lead an established team and will report directly to the locally based Global Head of Treasury & Budgeting.
The Treasury & Budgeting group is responsible for the payment of Third Party, Management, Performance and Directors fee payments. The team is also responsible for the preparation and review of client budgets on a quarterly basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting operational teams across multiple jurisdictions, leading business teams through operational redesign and organisational change, conducting the performance management process, establishing goals & objectives for the teams and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all Treasury & Budgeting production processes. They will also consult with clients and partners ensuring delivery of a first class service and help to identify and develop process improvements, system enhancements and optimise effectiveness within the global group.
The role would suit an ambitious, energetic individual with strong systems, product and process knowledge; a history of managing partners/clients/teams through change; the ability to lead, motivate and engage partners. Individuals with previous experience in fund administration, operations, change management or accounting are of particular interest for the role. This role will be of interest to candidates who wish to progress their career in a dynamic, ‘best in class operation’.
Principal Responsibilities
- Overseeing delivery and implementation of strategic, regulatory and client requested projects with a focus on control and keeping abreast of industry and regulatory developments.
- Management of the Global Treasury & Budgeting organisation, conducting the performance management process, identification of training and development needs, goals and objectives setting, recruitment and motivation of partners and establishment of performance standards.
- Lead and guide partners, foster an environment which encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
- Responsibility for the overall Treasury & Budgeting production processes, accuracy and timeliness across a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters ensuring all SLA, project and audit deliverables are met.
- Maintain unrivalled client satisfaction and continuously improve the departments’ performance with a direct focus on quality, risk mitigation, efficiencies and internal controls.
- Work as part of the wider Fund Administration organisation engaging with multiple locations and partners to seek opportunities to improve productivity and quality within the global department.
Skills / Experience
- The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years in a finance/ banking/ funds related role with experience of managing teams and implementing development and succession plans for all levels. They will display effective communication and coaching skills and the ability to partner effectively with peers and business and overseas partners
- Experience in management and oversight of an accounts payable function for a multi-national organisation is preferable
- The ability to contribute to the overall department strategic, tactical and financial objectives and initiatives would be beneficial.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, planning, presentation, leadership and motivational skills are required.
- Proven client management skills and the ability to manage a team to plan and meet client and ad-hoc deliverable deadlines required in a high volume, deadline-driven and dynamic environment.
- Strong PC skills required, notably MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
- Experience with instilling a strong client service culture in teams is desirable in addition to the ability to represent the business to clients via presentations etc.
