We are currently seeking applications from Behaviour Specialists interested in joining the expanding Behaviour team within Nua Healthcare. The Behaviour Specialist will be working with adults in a well-established Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit based in North Cork working alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates must demonstrate the necessary interest, capability, performance and enthusiasm in line with the requirements of this role.

The role requires daily onsite attendance to the approved setting in so far as possible.

This will include the following on a day-to-day basis

    Manage a caseload, carrying out assessments, evidenced based intervention and evaluation of treatment programmes for individuals presenting with complex mental health difficulties residing in an approved centre.

    Engage in interdisciplinary working with members of the clinical team including but not limited to Consultant Psychiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Care Workers and Assistance Support Workers to meet the person-centred needs of individuals on your caseload.

    Participate in promoting compliance with the Judgement Support Framework

    Provide support to key stakeholders for carry over of Behaviour Support recommendations.

    Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical department meetings and behaviour department meetings.

    Psychology Degree or equivalent

    Experience in a mental health setting

    2 - 3 years experience within a similar role or health / social care setting as a behaviour specialist
