\n\r\n Job Objectives\r\n \r\n \n

\n

The primary objective of the Regional Nurse – General is to provide safe, high-quality and person-centred nursing care to the Residents in Nua Healthcare Services.

\n

▪ Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
\n▪ Safe Administration and Management of Medication.
\n▪ Utilising nursing skills to support the delivery of effective frontline support to 
\n▪ all Individuals.
\n▪ Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments, Medication plans 
\nand all supporting documents which outline the supports required for individuals, 
\nincluding; personal plans, epilepsy plans, diabetic plans etc.
\n▪ Ensure that all Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all Individuals.
\n▪ Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individual’s 
\ncommunity.
\n▪ Communicate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
\n▪ Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family and other 
\nsupports as outlined within individual Personal Plans.
\n▪ Support Individuals with health appointments and follow through on recommendations.
\n▪ Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to Individuals.
\n▪ Promote & nurture person centred planning using key worker systems and shared goal 
\nsetting, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
\n▪ Support and promote maximum opportunities for community involvement for people 
\nwho avail of the service.
\n▪ Deliver training as advised by management.
\n▪ Assist the Person In Charge / Operations Manager in regard to compiling and presenting 
\nreports as required.

\n\r\n \r\n Skills Requirement\r\n \n

\n
\n

 Essential Criteria :

\n
    \n
  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • \n
  • Possess a recognised professional post-graduate relevant qualification.
  • \n
  • 3+ years post-registration nursing experience
  • \n
\n

 

\n

Desirable Criteria

\n
    \n
  • Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
  • \n
  • Experience across multiple centres/services would be a strong advantage.
  • \n
  • Experience with clinical governance, audits, care planning, incident management and regulatory compliance.
  • \n
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of HIQA regulations.
  • \n
  • Experience of report writing personal support plans.
  • \n
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • \n
\n
