About The Role

This is not a traditional BDR role.

The Business Development Representative will play a pivotal role in driving net-new revenue across Nucleo’s Data & AI and Enterprise Solutions practices, helping shape our go-to-market approach while building a high-quality, sustainable pipeline.

You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and developing opportunities with organisations that are investing in:

  • Data modernisation and migration
  • AI and advanced analytics adoption
  • Cloud data platform implementation
  • Enterprise reporting and BI transformation
  • Data governance and architecture strategy

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline & Revenue Development

  • Build and manage a structured pipeline of net-new opportunities
  • Identify target accounts across key sectors and develop strategic outreach plans
  • Proactively prospect using Salesforce, LinkedIn, events, referrals and market intelligence
  • Qualify leads against technical and commercial criteria
  • Support the full sales cycle in collaboration with technical consultants and leadership

Technical Sales Engagement

  • Develop strong knowledge of Nucleo’s Data & AI, Enterprise, and Change Management solutions
  • Engage decision-makers including CTOs, CIOs, Heads of Data and Transformation Leaders
  • Understand client technical environments and transformation roadmaps
  • Translate business challenges into relevant data and AI solutions
  • Support proposal development and client presentations

Market & Strategy Contribution

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis
  • Identify untapped industries and emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to refinement of Nucleo’s growth and targeting strategy
  • Develop repeatable best practices for outreach and pipeline generation

CRM & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in Salesforce
  • Analyse campaign effectiveness and conversion rates
  • Produce monthly and quarterly pipeline and revenue reports
  • Continuously optimise outreach based on data insights

 

Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in Business Development, Lead Generation or Technical Sales
  • Experience selling technology, SaaS, cloud, data, AI, enterprise software or consulting services is highly desirable
  • Proven experience building and managing sales pipelines
  • Experience engaging with technical and senior decision-makers

Skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and results-driven mindset
  • Confidence discussing technical solutions (or strong willingness to learn quickly)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to understand complex client challenges and position solutions
  • Data-driven approach to prospecting and campaign optimisation
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office
