Team Leader

Leads the High-Risk production team to meet production and quality targets while ensuring a safe, efficient and people-focused environment. Supports the Supervisor in driving performance, teamwork and continuous improvement in one of the busiest areas of the site.

Key Responsibilities

Operates independently within the High-Risk area to manage tasks, resolve issues within control, complete quality checks and escalate matters appropriately to the Supervisor.

Influences team productivity, quality standards and workplace culture by providing guidance, instruction and leadership to team members, supporting growth and recognition of performance.

Manages multiple parallel tasks in a fast-paced production environment, balancing output, quality, safety, issue resolution and documentation requirements.

• Complete all relevant quality checks and associated paperwork.

• Report areas of concern regarding productivity to the Supervisor.

• Assist with delegation of tasks and monitor productivity to meet KPI targets.

• Provide guidance and instruction to the team within the area of control.

• Resolve issues within own area to ensure smooth running of the shift.

• Escalate issues to the Supervisor where necessary and seek approval for solutions.

• Ensure immediate action on Health & Safety issues.

Skills / Preparation Requirements

Education & Qualifications

No formal qualification required; prior production or team lead experience preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience leading employees in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work on own initiative.

• Understanding of quality checks, productivity measures and safety requirements.
