Nove is an exciting Italian restaurant in the heart of Malahide, built around exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a genuine passion for bringing people together. We're creating a restaurant that combines authentic Italian flavours with contemporary dining, and we're looking for an ambitious Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help define the next chapter of our story.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you'll oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation, ensuring every dish leaving the pass reflects the high standards that Nove is known for. You'll lead, inspire and develop your team while maintaining a positive, professional and enjoyable working environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the kitchen team with confidence and positivity.
• Design and develop seasonal Italian-inspired menus.
• Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation.
• Manage food costs, GP, stock control and ordering.
• Recruit, train and mentor kitchen staff.
• Ensure all HACCP and food safety standards are consistently met.
• Work closely with the restaurant management team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
• Drive innovation while maintaining operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up.
• A genuine passion for Italian cuisine and fresh, high-quality ingredients.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing food costs and kitchen budgets.
• Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills.
• A hands-on leader who enjoys being part of a busy service.
