Senior - Deal Advisory

Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our Deal Advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing, commercially focused individual to play a key role in delivering complex transactions and contributing to the continued expansion of the practice.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen, proven analytical capability, and a keen eye for detail. At this level, you will be expected to take ownership of engagements, manage client relationships, and support the development of junior team members, while contributing to business development initiatives.
Grant Thornton’s Deal Advisory team is a market leader, with extensive experience across mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, valuations, capital raising, and business planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage detailed financial due diligence and transaction reviews
- Oversee the preparation of business plans and financial analyses
- Play a key role in buy-side and sell-side mandates, including MBO and MBI transactions
- Lead the preparation and review of valuation reports
- Support and advise on debt and equity fundraising processes
- Develop and review complex financial models
- Prepare high-quality client deliverables and reports
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, financial institutions, and legal advisors
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, pitch materials, and business development activities
- Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring high-quality output
Skills & Experience:
- ACA / ACCA / CFA qualified (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in corporate finance, transaction services, or a related advisory role
- Strong technical expertise in financial analysis, modelling, and valuation
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing situations
- Demonstrated commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
- Experience in professional services is essential
