And with no late-night trading, a 37.5-hour working week, an attractive KPI package and additional sales bonuses, the role offers a great opportunity to build your retail management career with an established Irish retailer.

What We Offer

  • €35,000 – €40,000 annual package, inclusive of a 10% performance-related KPI
  • Additional sales bonus opportunities
  • 37.5-hour working week
  • No late-night trading
  • Staff discount
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Support from our Stores Operations Manager and Head Office team
  • Opportunity to lead and develop your own store team
  • Structured training and development
  • A hands-on management role where you can make a real impact on store performance

The Role

As Store Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running and performance of our Thurles store.

You'll lead from the front, setting high standards for customer service, sales, merchandising and store presentation while creating a positive and motivated working environment for your team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing the store team
  • Driving sales and achieving store targets and KPIs
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Coaching and developing employees to improve individual and team performance
  • Managing staff performance and addressing underperformance when required
  • Ensuring new employees receive a strong induction, training and ongoing support
  • Building excellent product knowledge across the team
  • Planning and managing staff rotas, holidays and attendance
  • Delegating effectively and setting clear daily and weekly priorities
  • Maintaining excellent merchandising and store presentation standards
  • Managing deliveries, stockroom organisation and stock availability
  • Maintaining strong stock-control standards and minimising stock loss
  • Monitoring payroll, labour costs and other controllable store costs
  • Handling customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Working closely with the Stores Operations Manager, HR and Head Office
  • Ensuring Company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements are consistently followed

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is confident taking ownership of a busy retail store and who genuinely enjoys leading and developing people.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 2–3 years' retail store management experience
  • Proven experience leading and developing a retail team
  • A strong track record of achieving sales and performance targets
  • Strong coaching and people-management skills
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of retail KPIs
  • Confidence managing performance and having constructive conversations when standards are not being met
  • Excellent organisational, planning and delegation skills
  • A hands-on leadership style — you're happy to lead from the shop floor
  • A strong customer-service focus
  • High standards of merchandising and store presentation
  • Good understanding of labour management, budgets and cost control
  • Confidence using retail systems and technology
  • A positive, professional and solutions-focused approach
  • A full clean driver's licence

Previous footwear experience is an advantage, but it is not essential.
