Contract: Maternity Cover - 12-Month FTC

About the Role

This role is responsible for managing intercompany accounting activities across the Irish Distillers Group. It serves as the key liaison between Irish Distillers and Pernod Ricard headquarters, other PR affiliates, and internal stakeholders. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains strong intercompany relationships, and supports continuous improvement in financial processes and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Irish Distillers Group Intercompany Activities

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of intercompany relationships within the Irish Distillers Group.
  • Prepare the IDG matrix reconciliation file, including resolution and explanation of all variances.
  • Post monthly journals (Bonders, Brand Homes, IDL).
  • Maintain the cost allocation model.
  • Prepare invoices and manage payment settlements.
  • Reconcile IDG account balances in SAP with statutory account balances.

Pernod Ricard Intercompany Activities

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of intercompany relationships with Pernod Ricard affiliates.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of the GPR aged debt listing.
  • Supervise and manage all GPR-related duties performed by the outsourced partner.
  • Prepare Margin in Stock reports.
  • Review and post Stock on High Seas entries.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of margins charged by IDL entities.
  • Support and drive the Group’s intercompany recharge process (MUTOR).

Accounting and Internal Control for IDL Trading Subsidiaries

  • Define, review, and continuously improve accounting and internal control processes.
  • Collaborate with IT to explore automation opportunities for processes and reporting systems.
  • Identify critical risk areas and ensure appropriate risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Revenue, CSO, etc.).
  • Perform monthly reviews of all POS GL accounts.
  • Support the year-end audit process.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities

  • Perform additional tasks and projects as required.

Essential Experience Required

  • Qualified accountant: ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • 1–2 years PQE
  • Strong technical accounting & financial reporting knowledge
  • SAP and advanced Excel capability
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confident communicator who can work cross‑functionally

Desirable Experience

  • Top 10 audit firm background
  • Experience with intercompany accounting in a multi‑entity / multinational environment
  • Exposure to outsourced finance models
  • Demonstrated process automation or continuous improvement experience
