Senior General Ledger Accountant


We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior GL Accountant to join our growing finance team in our Little Island office. This role focuses on delivering high-quality financial control and reporting while working closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic business goals.  


Role Overview


The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate accounting, reporting and month end processes, while contributing to continuous improvements across the finance department.

The role requires strong collaboration with global finance teams, particularly with EMEA and APAC stakeholders, and offers exposure to a dynamic, high-growth tech environment.


Onsite: The role is hybrid with 2/3 days onsite.

Location: Little Island, Cork

Transport – Own car essential



Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Exposure to all aspects of the company's financial and operational systems
  • General ledger maintenance.
  • Assisting in the completion of month end group reporting for review.
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyse financial information and prepare reports for review.
  • Regulatory filings – VAT, VIES, Intrastat, Corporation tax.
  • Support external audit requirements by preparing timely and accurate financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley (JSOX) controls and internal audit requirements.
  • Work with other departments on various projects and initiatives.
  • Preparation and manage cashflow and forecasts and conduct analysis.
  • Review of bank and creditor reconciliations.
  • All other ad-hoc duties as required.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in finance role within practice or industry
  • Must be driven and well capable of working on own initiative as well as working well in a team environment reporting
  • Motivated to achieve KPIs, metrics and targets
  • Work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Ideally suit someone who is enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  • Must be computer literate - advanced excel skills
  • Systems experience with Microsoft Business Central and/or Hyperion an advantage
  • Candidate must be a team player who is be able to work in a fast-paced evolving work environment
