The project: The role is within the chief infrastructure office of a semi-state organisation in Ireland responsible for the delivery of high voltage station and circuit projects as well as upgrade and refurbishment projects on the existing transmission network. Responsibilities within this role will include managing these projects from conceptual phase through feasibility, statutory planning assessment and consent to handover for detailed design and construction phase. The role will involve a combination of office-based working and visits to sites where assets are located across the transmission network.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Championing safety first through visible leadership and HSW compliance.
• Applying strong technical H&S knowledge across all project activities.
• Promoting wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.
• Ensuring quality systems support service excellence.
• Managing delivery from brief to construction.
• Supporting senior leaders with key project deliverables.
• Overseeing budgets, risks and compliance.
• Managing teams and collaborates widely to achieve KPIs and best practice.

You’ll need to have:

• Degree‑qualified engineer with experience delivering large‑scale power or infrastructure projects.
• Proven project leadership, technical expertise and strong communication with stakeholders.
• Commercially aware, analytically skilled and confident managing vendors and complex programmes.
• Professional membership desirable, with understanding of sustainability, carbon impacts and industry requirements.
