Introduction
This document outlines the Salesforce Administrator role within the Salesforce Implementation Team at Pinergy. The Salesforce Administrator will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the Salesforce platform, ensuring high availability and alignment with business objectives and Salesforce best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Provision and management of user accounts, including assignment of profiles, permission sets, and licences.
• Configuration and maintenance of Salesforce environments, including sandbox setup and deployment assistance.
• Development and enhancement of reports and dashboards to meet business reporting needs.
• Support and implementation of configuration changes such as:
o Page layouts
o Custom fields and objects
o App setup and configuration
o Permission models (profiles, permission sets)
• Assist the development team with configuration-based enhancements including flows, validation rules, and schema modifications.
• Perform data operations including migration, clean-up, and data quality improvement using tools like Workbench or Data Loader.
• Support the DevOps process by assisting with CI/CD configuration for Salesforce, including sandbox connections and environment management.
Note:
While some of these responsibilities overlap with the development team, a dedicated Salesforce Administrator ensures more effective task separation and system stability. This role complements development efforts by focusing on configuration and operational readiness, freeing up developers for more complex development work.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Salesforce Administrator role.
• Salesforce Administrator certification.
• Experience managing user provisioning, licence allocation, permission sets, and profiles.
• Hands-on experience with sandbox configuration and environment setup.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain reports and dashboards.
• Experience with basic Salesforce configuration including objects, fields, and app settings.
Advantageous
• Experience in the energy or utility sector.
• Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification.
• Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder).
• Salesforce development experience using declarative tools (flows, validation rules, etc.).
• Familiarity with SOQL, Workbench, and Data Loader.
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) and certificate management.
• Understanding of API security and integration, including connected apps, named credentials, and certificate lifecycle management.
