We are hiring for a Business Intelligence Manager to join our Digital Team. The role can be based in either of our Cork or Dublin offices. This role combines leadership of the BI function with architectural responsibility for PM Group’s Unified Data Platform and stewardship of enterprise reporting across all Business Functions. Lead and represent the Data Analytics team by example of best practice and excellence. Manage a team of analysts/developers that deliver end‑to‑end data analytics and digital business solutions. Convert Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) and typical internal business function problems into decision‑ready insights, fit-for-purpose digital apps, and value-adding AI Agent Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage the daily activities of the Data Analytics team, including resource allocation, performance management, and professional development. Foster a collaborative, proactive, best practice-led, high-performing team culture. Demonstrate solid understanding of typical business problems—in the AEC context and others—solvable via data analytics and modern low-code digital solutions; professionally and clearly articulate business value and expected outcomes. Policy, Procedures, and Capability Building: Own and continuously develop BI policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure alignment with evolving business strategy and technology platforms. Drive capability building and ensure the team remains at the forefront of BI innovation. Data Platform & Future-Proofing: Shape and execute the strategic roadmap for a unified enterprise data platform, incorporating modern technologies (e.g., Databricks, Azure, and Power BI). Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and adaptable for planned business needs. Cross-Functional Leadership & Community Coordination: Lead and coordinate the wider BI/Data Analytics communities across business functions, promoting knowledge sharing, standardization, and alignment with group-wide data strategy. Identify, access, and profile relevant data sources (ERP/finance, project controls, BIM/CDE, site/field systems etc.) to perform exploratory analysis and to assess data quality, document data assumptions and constraints. Implement reliable ETL using Power BI (Dataflows), data platform pipelines (e.g., with Fabric, Snowflake, or Data Bricks), and engineer reusable datasets for BI low‑code app purposes. Design fit‑for‑purpose data models, build production‑grade dashboards, and paginated reports. Design, build, test and document Digital apps and automations. Clearly communicate completed work and findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, present results, recommendations, and next steps. Support deployment, training, and handover of data assets and business processes. Diagnose problems, evaluate options, and propose practical solutions using Lean/MECE/design‑thinking methods. Maintain an impact‑driven approach focused on business value and commercial awareness. Engage in ongoing learning (courses and certifications, de facto and as required). Good knowledge of AI and GDPR regulations and working knowledge of typical client confidentiality and data privacy requirements. Apply responsible AI practices when leveraging AI‑enabled capabilities. Plan work, manage priorities across multiple tasks, and track progress/risks/changes. Qualifications Experience: 8-10 years as Data Analyst or BI Developer or Manager, AEC domain exposure advantageous. Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering preferred; STEM, Computer Science or related field acceptable. Tools: Strong hands‑on with Power BI (DAX, M, Dataflows); experience with at least one of Power Apps, Power Automate, or Copilot Studio. Platforms: Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and cloud ecosystems (Azure, Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks) and modern data warehousing/lakehouse concepts. Analytics: Solid statistics/probability fundamentals; SQL; dimensional modelling; data quality assessment; practical ETL/ELT experience.
