Overview PM Group is a leading international engineering, architecture, project and construction management firm. We are seeking a CAD Administrator to join our BIM Department in Cork. We currently have a team of 15 people administrating our various 2D and 3D authoring software’s for both local and international projects for our customers. This role will provide administrative support, in a live projects environment, with multiple disciplines. The role would be suited to a candidate that has used AutoCAD. The candidate will be responsible for the management of file transfer requests for the Ireland Offices. Responsibilities Manage the E-transmission CAD file transfer system, including control and distribution of project-related CAD data. Install, configure, and maintain CAD software. Maintain a correspondence log database to track all e-transmitted CAD data. Oversee CAD folder structure for Ireland and satellite offices; conduct regular audits and spot checks. Manage security access permissions for CAD folders. Archive closed projects and retrieve legacy CAD data as needed. Update PM AutoCAD menus and integrate client information (title blocks, symbology). Create and maintain project-specific templates, title blocks, and symbology. Troubleshoot AutoCAD issues and provide solutions. Conduct induction sessions for new starters on PM AutoCAD standards. Enforce CAD standards across Ireland offices; perform audits and reporting. Mentor AutoCAD users and deliver training sessions on best practices and standards. Provide input for BIM documentation when required. Act as primary support contact for AutoCAD issues. Interpret and integrate client CAD standards; create workflow guides for project teams. Liaise with other BIM-CAD support departments within PM Group. Qualifications Ideally Level 7+ qualification in a relevant field or 5+ years' experience in the industry with a background in administration. Experience using Electronic Document Management System(s). Experience is using the Autodesk Construction Cloud an advantage. Excellent computer skills (Access / Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Visio / Power BI). Personable, confident with excellent communication skills. In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD and related CAD platforms. Understanding of drawing standards, templates, layers, and naming conventions. To be open to learning new CAD platforms and evolving technologies. Why PM Group?
