Overview The Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) Department at PM Group partners with Global leaders across a range of industries to find the best people for their current and ongoing business needs. We are looking for a CAD Technician to join our dynamic and innovative OTS team, working on a client Pharmaceutical Manufacturing site in Cork. The CAD Technician will be responsible for producing, updating, and maintaining accurate technical drawings in support of pharmaceutical manufacturing and facility operations. The role supports engineering, facilities, and project teams by translating specifications and change requirements into controlled technical drawings that comply with GMP, regulatory, and site standards. Responsibilities Prepare, modify, and update controlled technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using approved CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD). Interpret engineering redlines, sketches, and specifications provided by engineers, project teams, or external consultants. Ensure drawings comply with GMP requirements, internal SOPs, site standards, and relevant regulatory and engineering codes. Produce detailed drawings for pharmaceutical facilities, utilities, process support systems, and building services, including as‑built documentation. Maintain accurate drawing records, metadata, and version control within the site document management system (Meridian Cloud) Support change management activities by incorporating approved design changes in a timely and traceable manner. Liaise with engineers, project managers and facilities to resolve design queries. Support audit readiness by ensuring drawings are current, accurate, and compliant. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD essential). Strong attention to detail with a high level of drawing accuracy and consistency. Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings, specifications, and redlines. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams. Basic understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, utilities, or regulated environments. Qualifications Previous experience as a CAD Technician or in a technical drafting role, preferably within pharmaceuticals or other regulated industries. Familiarity with GMP documentation practices and controlled drawing environments is desirable. Experience working under GMP or other regulated quality systems. Ability to work independently while adhering strictly to procedures and documentation standards. Office‑based role within a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. Works closely with engineering, facilities, quality, and project delivery teams.
