The Commissioning Authority (CxA) Manager is responsible for leading and certifying the commissioning of the integrated power generation and battery energy storage systems supporting the data center. The role ensures the facility is safe, compliant, fully integrated, and capable of meeting the client’s reliability and performance requirements prior to handover to operations. We are focused on growing a sustainable business centred around our people, our clients and trade partners. Responsibilities Act as the client’s commissioning authority for the project. Develop and manage the Commissioning Plan, aligned with project objectives and data center reliability standards. Validate commissioning activities from mechanical completion through to energisation. Oversee systems-based commissioning of generators, BESS, electrical distribution, protection, control, SCADA systems and house services. Verify critical operating scenarios including black start, islanding, synchronization, load sharing, and failover. Plan and oversee performance, reliability, and acceptance testing, including integrated generator and BESS operation. Ensure commissioning activities are executed safely and in compliance with grid, environmental, and applicable codes and standards. Lead and coordinate commissioning activities of GC and vendors as part of L4 and L5 requirements. Liaise and support all project deliverables required for a successful handover to Operations. Provide regular progress, risk, and readiness reporting to the client. Manage commissioning effort in line with agreed PM Group budget and client expectations. Responsible for the PM Group budget (hours) control and alignment with the clients expectations. To work alongside existing PM Group and client engineers, managers, and directors. Representing the PM Group Cx team in meetings, visits, troubleshooting exercises, and audits. Required to provide regular updates to the client on Cx program health Qualifications Motivated and result driven resource with 10+ years of commissioning experience in the Mission Critical sector and project delivery Solid background on how to safely start up and execute Cx programs, whether at site installations or at vendors premises. Ensure that all parties engaged with the process can perform their tasks in a safe manner.
