Overview Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) Department`are currently seeking to recruit a M&E Site Manager. This role will be bsed on our client sites in Co. Kildare. This role is a remote working position with some travel across Europe required. Responsibilities Role Overview The Project Engineer will support the delivery of a number of small to medium scale projects on a number of hyperscale data centres around Europe. The role focuses on ensuring that all technical packages—MEP, CSA, mission‑critical systems, and vendor integrations—are executed to our clients standards for quality, reliability, schedule, and compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Engineering & Technical Management Review and coordinate MEP and CSA drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals. Ensure all engineering documents align with our clients requirements such as: High‑density cooling systems MV/LV power distribution UPS, generators, and mission‑critical systems BMS/EPMS integration Structured cabling and white-space infrastructure Support design coordination meetings with consultants, trade contractors, and the client’s design team. Track and manage technical changes, ensuring accurate as‑built documentation. 2. Construction Support Assist the Project Manager and Package Leads in daily site coordination. Monitor installation progress of: Mechanical (chillers, CRAHs/CRACs, pumps, heat exchangers) Electrical (switchgear, UPS, PDUs, busways) Fire, security, ICT, and specialist systems Ensure all works follow method statements, RAMS, and QA procedures. Verify that equipment selection matches project specifications and client standards. 3. Quality Assurance & Compliance Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure compliance with: Data centre commissioning standards Manufacturer requirements Local codes and regulations Perform quality checks and support snag/defect resolution. Maintain control of engineering logs, NCRs, and red-line drawings. 4. Commissioning & Turnover Support Assist with project workflows, supporting commissioning teams and vendors. Track commissioning progress (FPTs, ISTs, SATs). Coordinate handover packages including: O&M manuals Test certificates Final as-builts Asset registers 5. Supplier, Contractor & Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with trade partners and specialist vendors. Support procurement activities—technical evaluations, equipment selections, submittals. Coordinate with the client’s operations team for early access, integration testing, and turnover. 6. Reporting & Documentation Generate progress updates, look-aheads, risk registers, and engineering logs. Support schedule management for engineering-related tasks. Identify risks affecting quality, schedule, or technical compliance. Qualifications Technical Competencies Experience in data centres, mission‑critical facilities, high‑tech industrial, pharma, or large MEP projects. Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical building services. Ability to interpret complex drawings, P&IDs, SLDs, and specifications. Knowledge of commissioning processes for high-availability facilities. Soft Skills Strong communication and coordination abilities. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work in fast-paced, highly technical environments. Comfortable managing multiple packages simultaneously. Desirable Qualifications Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering. Experience with project delivery for hyperscale data centre clients Familiarity with uptime/tier standards (Uptime Institute Tier III/IV). Knowledge of industry tools such as BIM 360, Navisworks, MS Project, Procore, etc.
