The role
We are looking for a highly motivated Revenue Accountant to join our team in Cork. In this role, you will report to the EMEA Revenue Accounting Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day revenue accounting as part of a global team.
The ideal candidate will be one who is a proactive learner, takes initiative, and is a great team player. This is a hybrid role with four mandatory days in the Cork office. Job Requirements
Your day-to-day
- Demonstrate proficiency with revenue accounting rules under ASC 606 by performing deal review on multiple-element SaaS & software arrangements to ensure accurate revenue recognition treatment
- Contribute to process and system improvements in the revenue cycle, including ERP system enhancement and projects
- Prepare analyses, journal entries and related account reconciliations
- Participate in the monthly close
- Assist in preparation of audit requests as needed
- Perform processes and procedures to comply with SOX 404 control framework
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, ideally ACA, ACCA qualified or to similar level
- Familiar with revenue accounting and SaaS revenue recognition
- Ability to form excellent relationships and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Manage multiple priorities well and handle assigned tasks with attention to detail
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem solving and follow through
- Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements, time constraints, and deadlines
- Take a clean sheet approach when revisiting operational processes
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and RevPro is a plus
