THE ROLE
As the Director of International Revenue (IR) & Accounts Receivable (AR) Accounting, you will be the strategic architect of our global revenue operations, ensuring financial integrity across diverse international markets. You will partner with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk to optimize complex deal structures while serving as the definitive technical authority on ASC 606 for our international entities. Your mission is to build a scalable, AI-enhanced accounting ecosystem that supports Pure Storage’s rapid global expansion and evolving GTM models.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Strategic Deal Advisory: Act as a high-impact partner to International Sales and GTM teams, providing expert guidance on contract structuring to optimize revenue recognition outcomes while ensuring seamless alignment with global business objectives.
- Technical Policy Leadership: Own the interpretation and application of ASC 606 and international statutory standards, authoring and reviewing technical memos for complex multi-element arrangements and ensuring our policies scale alongside new product innovations.
- Operational Excellence & Global Close: Lead a high-performing, geographically distributed team to execute a flawless monthly close, managing the end-to-end integrity of international revenue, deferred revenue, and AR results.
- Audit & Governance Ownership: Drive the strategy for SOX compliance and international statutory audits, maintaining a rigorous control environment while coordinating effectively with external auditors across multiple jurisdictions.
- Systems & AI Transformation: Champion the integration of automation and machine learning tools within the Order-to-Cash cycle to streamline contract reviews, enhance forecasting accuracy, and eliminate manual reconciliation workflows.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in ASC 606, specifically within complex technology environments (SaaS, hardware, and hybrid models), complemented by a deep understanding of international statutory reporting requirements.
- Global Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead and develop diverse, remote teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Legal, and Operations to drive sound financial decisions.
- Analytical Rigor & Systems Savvy: Proficiency in navigating enterprise ERPs (such as SAP or NetSuite) and revenue tools (like Zuora), with a demonstrated ability to use data-driven insights and automation to improve reporting accuracy.
- Strategic Problem Solving: A track record of navigating ambiguity in high-growth environments, including experience with M&A integration and the evolution of global accounting policies.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Dublin, Staines, or Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
