Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and professional Key Account Manager to join our organisation in Galway, Ireland. In this permanent position, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing our most strategic client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, decisive leadership, and a genuine commitment to customer success. You will work collaboratively across departments to develop tailored solutions that meet our key accounts' evolving needs and contribute significantly to our organisation's growth trajectory.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for assigned key clients, identifying opportunities for revenue expansion and long-term partnership growth • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers at key accounts through regular communication and strategic engagement • Analyse client needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to provide customised solutions and recommendations that drive client satisfaction and retention
- Manage the full account lifecycle, including contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service level agreements, whilst maintaining profitability • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, operations, and product development to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve client issues promptly • Prepare and present regular account reviews, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management, demonstrating clear understanding of account health and growth potential • Identify and pursue cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts, contributing to revenue targets and business objectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring their concerns are addressed with professionalism and urgency • Monitor account performance against agreed KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary to maintain service excellence • Participate in industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and identify new business prospects
Qualifications
**Required:** • Minimum 2–5 years of proven account management or key account management experience in a B2B environment • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing strategic client relationships and achieving revenue targets • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all organisational levels • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail • Proven people skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams • Self-motivated, organised individual with strong time-keeping and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • Professional demeanour with a customer-focused mindset and commitment to service excellence
**Desirable:** • Experience in strategic account planning and sales forecasting methodologies • Knowledge of sales processes and business development best practices • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and modelling • Experience with project management tools and techniques • Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior stakeholders • Familiarity with specific industry sectors relevant to our business • Background in account induction and onboarding processes
