Project Manager - Office of the CEO

The Project Manager – Office of the CEO is a trusted partner to the CEO, providing the strategic, operational and project management capacity required to drive execution of Scope’s most important initiatives. The role sits at the centre of the business, working across the leadership team to translate Scope’s strategic framework — our Drivers of our Future — into clear, well-run plans that deliver measurable results.

The Project Manager leads the delivery of high-priority, cross-functional programmes on behalf of the CEO, prepares the CEO for internal and external engagements, coordinates the leadership operating rhythm, and ensures Scope’s goals as well as the CEO Goals are tracked, reported and acted on with pace and discipline.

This is a career-defining opportunity for a commercially curious, delivery-minded operator to work alongside the CEO during a period of ambitious growth — shaping how a scaling international business executes on its strategy across Ireland, the UK, the US.

This role is based in Ireland (with travel across Ireland, UK and international markets, approx. 25%)

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & CEO Support

•      Act as a thought partner to the CEO, helping shape, structure and sequence strategic priorities across the business.

•      Support the execution of the CEO’s strategic agenda, including the cascade of annual goals across functions and the translation of strategy into operational plans.

•      Prepare high-quality briefings, papers, dashboards and presentations for CEO meetings with the leadership team, Board, investors, customers and external partners.

•      Coordinate communication flows in and out of the CEO’s office, ensuring information is timely, accurate and actionable.

Strategic Project & Programme Delivery

•      Lead delivery of cross-functional strategic projects on behalf of the CEO — spanning commercial growth, brand performance, innovation and launch execution, customer experience, digital and technology, people and culture, sustainability and operational excellence.

•      Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, dependency maps, risk registers and progress dashboards for the CEO’s priority portfolio.

•      Work with project owners across the business to ensure milestones are met, issues are escalated early, and delivery happens on time, on scope and on budget.

•      Drive the delivery disciplines — stand-ups, steering meetings, milestone reviews, decision logs — that turn ambitious plans into results.

Business Performance, Planning & Governance

•      Support the CEO in tracking performance against strategic goals, surfacing risks, opportunities and insights across commercial, financial, operational and people metrics.

•      Coordinate the leadership operating rhythm — SLB meetings, quarterly business reviews, Board updates and annual planning cycles — including agendas, inputs, outputs and follow-through.

•      Own the tracking of cascading goals and cross-functional deliverables that flow from the company’s strategic framework into departmental plans.

•      Support the annual planning process, including 3-year plan development, budget coordination inputs, and strategic goal setting for the year ahead.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Leadership

•      Serve as a central liaison between the CEO and Scope’s leadership team across Commercial, Marketing, Medical, QARA, Operations, R&D, People & Culture, Supply Chain, Finance and the newly established technology and innovation functions.

•      Build strong, trust-based relationships across the business and across geographies — Ireland, UK, US — to anticipate needs, align priorities and unblock delivery.

•      Manage relationships with external partners where relevant — consultants, advisors, agencies and strategic partners.

•      Influence without authority, holding senior stakeholders to commitments and keeping cross-functional teams aligned around shared outcomes.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

•      Streamline workflows, processes and ways of working to maximise the CEO’s effectiveness and remove friction from cross-functional execution.

•      Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, increase automation and improve how the business runs — partnering with finance, operations and technology teams to implement.

•      Support organisational planning activities, including scenario modelling, resource planning and the coordination of project core teams.

•      Champion a culture of disciplined delivery, clear accountability and continuous improvement across every project touched by the Office of the CEO.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline (business, engineering, sciences, technology or equivalent) is required.
  • Recognised project or programme management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent) is required.
  • Additional qualification in Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or change management is desirable.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in project or programme management, strategy, consulting, chief-of-staff roles, or senior business support, with a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional projects to plan on budget and to strict deadlines. Required.
  • Experience supporting or working directly with a CEO, senior leadership team or Board is strongly desirable.
  • Experience in consumer health, medtech, pharmaceuticals, FMCG or another regulated international commercial environment is desirable.
  • Exposure to strategic topics such as commercial growth planning, brand performance, innovation pipelines, go-to-market execution, digital transformation, sustainability or organisational change is desirable.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong project management discipline — scoping, planning, dependency management, risk, budget and stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical, structuring and simplification skills — able to turn complexity into clear plans, crisp communication and confident decisions.
  • Commercial literacy — able to read a P&L, engage with sales, marketing, finance and operations leaders in their own language, and connect activity to outcomes.
  • Working fluency with modern digital tools, dashboards and project management platforms; curiosity about how AI, automation and data can be used to improve execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including confident preparation of executive and Board-level materials.
  • Strong influencing skills — able to lead without authority, build trust quickly with senior stakeholders, and drive accountability across teams.
  • Proficient across Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Suite, and mainstream project management tools (e.g. Asana, Jira, Monday, MS Project).

Personal Attributes

  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality and sound judgement — essential given the seniority of stakeholders and the sensitivity of the work.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and reliable, with a strong bias for action and a high bar for quality.
  • Independent, proactive and able to anticipate needs and operate with a high level of ownership.
  • Genuinely curious — about business, customers, people, and how great organisations execute.
  • Energised by working at pace in a scaling, ambitious business; comfortable with ambiguity and bringing structure where none exists.
  • Team player who lifts those around them and makes cross-functional delivery easier for everyone.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Ireland, UK and internationally (approx. 25%).
