Vacancy: 040604 - Pro Rata Part Time Assistant Lecturer - Sport Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy (16 teaching hours per week) Contract: Specified Purpose - 12 months Salary: Assistant Lecturer salary scale: €47,101 - €63,735 (Pro rata equivalent for 0.888889 FTE) (Based on rates effective 1 February 2026) The Department of Health and Sport Sciences within the Faculty of Health Sciences has 30 academic staff across various disciplines and circa 450 students. It offers undergraduate degrees in Sport and Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning, Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy and a Cert in Human Physiology and Health Science. It offers a taught MSc postgraduate programme in Strength and Conditioning and it is also engaged in the research activity leading to postgraduate awards with circa 20 PhD students currently enrolled. Applications are sought for an Assistant Lecturer in Sport Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy, with relevant expertise in Athletic Therapy/Physiotherapy and in particular in manual therapy and differential diagnosis, to lecture on taught programmes, and contribute to the development of the Department as a whole.
