
Café Supervisor
Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to support the daily operation of our busy café Gravity Social, based in Explorium Science Museum in Sandyford. The ideal candidate will lead by example, ensure exceptional customer service, and help maintain a friendly, efficient, and well‑run environment.
This role is 25-35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee front‑of‑house operations and ensure smooth daily service
Support, guide, and supervise café staff during shifts
Assist with staff training, onboarding, and performance feedback
Maintain high standards of food, beverage, and service quality
Ensure compliance with Irish food safety, hygiene, and HACCP requirements
Handle cash management, till operations, and daily reconciliation
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
Address customer queries or issues in a professional, friendly manner
Support rota planning and workflow management
Requirements
Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality supervisory role
Completion of Food Safety/HACCP Level 1 or Level 2 training
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and occasional early/late shifts
