Applications are invited for a Permanent Contract – Chef Grade II role, 39 Hours per week in

St. Vincent's Private Hospital.  5 over 7 days Mon– Sun.      

Salary Scale €42,486– €48,853 LSIs

Essential Criteria

· Have obtained a suitable Catering Qualification (Higher Certificate in Professional Cookery—Level 6) or equivalent.

· Be currently employed as a Chef in Restaurant/ Hospital Kitchen

· You must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, suitability and professional ability required to perform the duties of the Chef Grade II position

· Have experience working in a busy Kitchen and be able to demonstrate good chefing skills.

· Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management, staff.

· Fluency in the English Language is an essential requirement for the post

· Working Knowledge of HACCP and Food Legislation.

· Good organizational skills.

· A positive and committed approach to your work.

· Adaptability & Flexibility:- in both approach and outlook with ability to adapt to change.

· Have the ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Conscientious and reliable.

· 2-3 years experience in a busy kitchen environment

Further Details

Salary will be in line with the Department of Health and Children’s salary scale. 

Uniform will be provided.. Kitchen operational times are from 6.00am-6.00pm
