Description
We currently have a requirement for a Civil Supervisor to join our growing EP&R team, this will be based in Poolbeg, Dublin.

What you will be doing
- Maintain standards of safety and comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements.
- Ensure the timely order of stock/material in line with the company Materials Group Report.
- Allocate daily tasks/work to all Foreman/Charge Hands.
- Assess the site work completed according to the job requirements.
- Assist the Site Foreman with the coordination of work from all disciplines as dictated by the project needs.
- Ensure works are kept on schedule.
- Assist the Site Engineer in the submission of inspection requests (checklist).
- Obtain approval for all works.
- Allocate team resources to fulfil project requirements.
- Edit the as-built drawings and mark up with the site work changes.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of construction equipment and project vehicles.
- Co-Ordinate with Sub-Contractors for sequencing of works to be implemented.
- Ensure correct storage and protection of all issued materials and equipment until installation.
- Provide feedback to Planners for achieved progress in different areas via the company daily allocation sheet.
- Liaise with the Client Representative and represent the company standards/ethos at all times.
- Ensure weekly report programmes are submitted in a timely and accurate fashion to the Client.
- Hold weekly team update/progress meetings.
- Liaise with the HR department on any team based personnel issues.
- Ensure any team disciplinary issues are dealt with.
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time.

Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure all SPAs (Safe Plan of Action) are completed and signed.
- Ensure all permits are in place.
- Conduct daily morning team briefs.
- Clearly Communicate the required expectation for safety performance and the need to always work safely at all times.
- Ensure all members of your team have the relevant and up to date training for any work they are currently completing. Liaise with the Site Safety Officer to organise training as required.
- Ensure that all standards and safe working procedures are followed.
- Ensure all members of your team have the correct PPE and are wearing it at all times.
- Ensure proper Health & Safety equipment and procedures are in place.
- Conduct documented site inspections (SOPs) to measure compliance levels.
- Ensure accidents/incident’s/near misses are reported and quickly investigated and preventative actions implemented in a timely fashion.
- Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained at a high level.
- Participate in Safety Audits and inspections as required.
- Ensure all members of your team have read, understood and signed all relevant safety documentation, including method statements, risk assessments.
- Ensure plant and equipment availability.
- Check for co-ordination issues.
- Acknowledge and act upon reported events.
- Ensure daily and weekly safety reports are completed and passed to relevant personnel on time.
- Ensure equipment checks are completed.
- Ensure equipment is fit for use, eg, Harnesses/ladders.
- Ensure the Tool Box talk is delivered and signed off on a weekly basis.
Is this job for me?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil supervision.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, reinstatement standards, and quality control.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Proficiency in MS Office and site management tools (e.g., MS Teams, SiteView, or equivalent).
