We have an exciting opportunity in the Better Energy Homes Team in the Delivery Department of the National Retrofit Directorate.
The position will play a key role in supporting the Programme Manager with the roll out of new initiatives and systems, underpinned by Governance and Compliance structures.
As Better Energy Homes Engineer you will be expected to lead on technical compliance and alignment with other programmes for both existing and new initiatives, lead on the technical resolution of cases, support IT projects, and train colleagues.
This role will report to the Better Energy Homes Programme Manager.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Decarbonised Heat Research Team; part of the Decarbonised Heat & Systems Support Department at SEAI.
This Department focuses on advancing renewable energy integration, fostering Ireland's transition to a net-zero energy system by 2050, with this position placing particular emphasis on bioenergy as a key pathway for fossil fuel substitution.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer Specialist within Decarbonised Heat Research Team the successful candidate will join a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality research, primarily supporting the integration of sustainable bioenergy solutions such as biomass, biogas, and future renewable fuels into Ireland's heating systems, while offering flexibility to contribute to broader decarbonised heat initiatives.
This role will require ad-hoc travel to attend national events.

We have an exciting opportunity in the Energy Savings Obligation Unit in the Public Sector and Regulatory Programmes Department.
The Public Sector and Regulatory Programmes Department develops, administers, and manages a range of energy efficiency and emissions reduction programmes, designed to deliver on national and European climate and energy targets.
The Energy Savings Obligation Unit is focused on supporting Ireland in the achievement of our binding energy savings target under Article 8 of the Energy Efficiency Directive. The Unit consists of two teams:
the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EEOS), which places legal obligations on energy suppliers to deliver energy efficiency savings across both domestic and non-domestic sectors. As the scheme administrator, SEAI is responsible for calculating targets, stakeholder engagement and validating and reporting on energy savings achieved.
- the newly formed Article 8 Policy and Compliance programme, is responsible for the framework of policy measures (current and planned) contributing towards the achievement of Ireland’s Article 8 target. The framework activities include devising calculation methodologies, monitoring of progress and compliance, investigating opportunities, supporting policy development and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality administration of the EEOS and wider Article 8 policy and compliance activities. They will report to the EEOS Programme Manager; however, their role will also include some responsibilities in relation to Article 8 Policy and Compliance.

We have an exciting opportunity in the Public Affairs team to provide operational and strategic support as part of SEAI’s Public Affairs team within SEAI’s Office of the CEO.
Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, the successful candidate will be a key member of the Public Affairs team responsible for stakeholder engagement, parliamentary liaison, and the efficient delivery of the parliamentary affairs function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for parliamentary engagement; research; processing and drafting replies to Parliamentary Questions (PQs), stakeholder engagement which may include supporting with the implementation of the European Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), project management, event, local media and administrative support as required.

The IT Department provides support across all aspects of SEAI operations, with teams focused on several areas: IT Project and Business System Programmes (PMO), Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, IT Operations including IT Helpdesk, IT Governance, IT Change Management, and Cyber and Information Security.
This position will play a key role in the IT Department.
